Night Attack on Odesa: Latest Consequences
During the night, Odesa was once again subjected to an enemy attack.
According to the State Emergency Service, over ten drone strikes were recorded on the night of June 20.
Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, reported that residential buildings, vehicles, and educational institutions sustained damage in the city center.
A massive fire broke out following the strike of a drone, completely destroying a four-story residential building. Rescuers managed to save three individuals, and six others were evacuated.
While extinguishing the fire and rescuing people, rescuers were injured when structures collapsed — three firefighters are currently hospitalized in stable condition.
A fire also erupted on the coastline due to the drone crash, damaging recreational facilities from the shockwave.
In another area of the city, a gas pipeline was damaged.
All services are working at the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that a total of 14 people were injured last night, including three rescuers.
According to Ukrainian Railways, the overnight drone attacks damaged the infrastructure of Odesa's railway station.
The contact network and track bed were affected.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. Ukrainian Railways specialists are already working on resolving the aftermath.
Train services are operating on schedule.
