17 June 2025

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as of Tuesday evening, a result of the massive attacks by the Russian Federation on June 17, 12 people have been confirmed dead: 10 in Kyiv and 2 in Odesa.

"As of 5:30 PM, 12 people have died due to nighttime Russian strikes in Ukraine. Of these, 10 were in Kyiv, and 2 individuals were rescued from the rubble in Odesa. Unfortunately, operational information is often subject to correction. As search and rescue operations continue, parts of bodies may be discovered, which are initially recorded as separate casualties. Final confirmations are provided by forensic experts after analysis in the mobile DNA lab".  –  stated Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko

The minister noted that rescuers and police are continuing to work at the strike sites on residential infrastructure.

The rescue operation is ongoing at two locations in Kyiv. There are still people under the rubble, so operations will not cease until everyone is found, – assured Klymenko.
