24 May 2025

The number of casualties from the missile strike on Odesa has tragically increased. Another victim has died in the hospital, raising the total death toll to three.

"This horrific attack has claimed another life. I extend my condolences to all who have lost loved ones," — stated Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Recall that on May 23 at 14:15, Russian forces launched strikes on the port infrastructure of Odesa. Preliminary reports indicate that two Iskander-M ballistic missiles were used.

Initially, a 40-year-old man working for a private cargo handling company was reported dead at the scene. Later, a 71-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Now, sadly, the death toll has risen to three.

The Odesa regional prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal investigation into this war crime that resulted in loss of life. The incident is being classified as a violation of the laws and customs of war.

This attack marks another instance of Russian strikes against civilian infrastructure in Odesa, endangering the lives of innocent civilians.
