Ukrainian National Sambo Tournament: Young Athletes Shine

From August 28 to September 1, the Ukrainian National Sambo Tournament «Youth Ukraine Cup» took place in Uzhhorod at the «Yunost» sports complex, featuring junior and cadet wrestlers.

Approximately 500 athletes from 21 regions of the country participated in the competition.

In the team standings, the boys' category was won by the Odesa region team, while the girls' category was claimed by the city of Kyiv.

The Odesa region team, comprising athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 4, performed exceptionally well.

In the cadet competitions, Kyrylo Vasylynych (79 kg) earned a silver medal, while Dmytro Budish (88 kg) took home the bronze.

In the senior boys' competitions, Artur Amiryan (88 kg) celebrated victory, with silver medals awarded to Yehor Dubynenko (79 kg) and Ivan Maksyuta (88 kg), and a bronze medal going to Kyrylo Vasylynych (79 kg).

In the junior competitions, Oleg Pryima (64 kg) secured a bronze medal.

The athletes were trained by coaches Oleg SpiVak, Fedor Fomenkov, and Oleksandr Skypka.
