Taekwondo: Achievements at the Ukrainian Championship

The Ukrainian Taekwondo Championship (WTF) for juniors and sports schools took place in Lviv from August 21 to 23, 2025.

Over 200 athletes participated, representing 19 regions of Ukraine, highlighting the growing appeal of this sport.

Representatives of the Odesa region from the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 17 achieved the following results:

Sports School Championship:

Danil Modnov – 1st place, 51 kg (juniors);

Kyril Pavlyuchenko – 3rd place, 68 kg (juniors);

Matviy Lukashuk – 3rd place, 73 kg (juniors);

Ulyana Protsenko – 2nd place, 55 kg (juniors);

Lina Yaremenko – 3rd place, 59 kg (juniors);

Denys Sevastyanov – 3rd place, 30 kg (boys).

Junior Championship:

Anastasia Volosenko - 1st place - 46 kg;

Danila Komarov - 1st place, 45 kg;

Matviy Lukashuk – 1st place, 68 kg;

Zlatoslava Volosenko - 2nd place, 49 kg;

Danil Modnov - 3rd place - 51 kg.

The athletes were trained by coaches Viktor Semanyuk and Yulia Podolyana.

In the taekwondo (WTF) division of Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 17, 133 athletes are enrolled.
