Enhancing Bicycle Infrastructure in Odessa

The municipal establishment «Specialized Installation and Operation Unit» has summarized the results of this season's activities along the city's coastline.

Thanks to the development of a new bike lane stretching from the 11th to the 16th station of the Big Fountain, cyclists can conveniently reach these locations from the city center.

«This bike lane allows for safe movement throughout the city. We are seeing an increase in its popularity, thus, at the mayor's request, we will continue to develop cycling routes across the city,» stated Odessa's deputy mayor, Pavlo Vugelman.

The president of the «Arcadia» cycling club also highlighted the positive changes.

«This bike lane has become the best in the city. I notice that since its opening, the number of cyclists has significantly increased. People are actively responding to the new markings. It’s great to observe the growth of cycling as a sport in Odessa,» said Viktoria Bondarenko.

The city's plans include further enhancing the bicycle transport infrastructure, including connecting residential areas through new cycling routes.
