Modern Training for Ukraine's Defense in Educational Institutions

25 December 2024

The introduction of the updated course "Defense of Ukraine" in schools of Odesa and the equipping of classrooms with cutting-edge technology are key aspects of educational reform.

This course aims to cultivate a conscious attitude among the youth towards the defense of the state, teaching them the importance of safety and preparedness for emergencies.

In Odesa, eight modern training centers have been established for the first time in the country, equipped with all necessary tools, models, and a shooting range for practical training. Students from several schools will learn at these centers. Classes are conducted by experienced instructors who have undergone specialized training, with some having firsthand experience from combat situations.

High school students will learn how to act in dangerous situations and provide first aid. Additionally, the curriculum will include modern warfare strategies.

"In a situation where we have a neighboring terrorist state, this knowledge and these skills are crucial for every Ukrainian," emphasized Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
