Prime Minister's Resignation: New Challenges Ahead for Ukraine
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal, has announced his resignation.
This announcement was made public on the official Telegram channel of the Prime Minister.
Direct quote: "I want to thank our defenders who are safeguarding our country! I appreciate President Volodymyr Zelensky for his trust! Thank you to the entire team for their tireless work for our nation!".
It is important to note that the resignation of the Prime Minister automatically leads to the dismissal of the entire government. Article 10 of the law on martial law states that the powers of the Cabinet cannot be terminated during a state of war.
Background: President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers Yulia Svyrydenko and Mykhailo Fedorov, where they outlined tasks for the Cabinet for the next six months.
