In Memory of Leonid Liptuga

On September 2, the renowned cultural figure Leonid Viktorovich Liptuga passed away. He was a leading researcher at the Odessa Literary Museum and the creator of unique projects such as the «Garden of Sculptures» and «Odessa Courtyard».
This sad news was reported by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of the Odessa City Council.

Leonid Liptuga dedicated his life to Odessa, its culture, history, and the development of the Literary Museum.

«His bright memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the director of the Odessa Literary Museum, Tetiana Liptuga, as well as to his family and loved ones», – the statement reads.

Note: The “Garden of Sculptures” is an open-air exhibition established in 1995. Until 2014, a new sculpture was unveiled during each «Humorina» festival. The “Odessa Courtyard” exhibition continues the traditions of the “Garden of Sculptures” and recreates a typical Odessa courtyard.
