In Memory of Igor Uchitel: A Remarkable Figure from Odessa

Igor Uchitel, a former deputy of the Odessa Regional Council and chairman of the supervisory board of AT «Odessagas», passed away at the age of 70.

Igor Leonidovich was a true Odessan, who cherished his city and dedicated his entire life to it.

For many years, he diligently served in his profession, rising from a craftsman to the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Public Joint-Stock Company «Odessagas».

All of Igor Leonidovich's efforts were focused on developing the gas sector in Odessa, where he became the author of several patents. Thanks to his contributions, many areas were successfully gasified.

Igor Leonidovich received the Honorary Award named after Marazli of I, II, and III degrees for his significant contributions to the city.

He was also actively involved in public activities, supporting the development of sports, particularly basketball, and implementing numerous cultural initiatives.

For many years, he aided the Odessa Zoo and participated in organizing the «Golden Violins» festival and other events.

The Odessa City Council and its Executive Committee express their deepest condolences to the family, colleagues, and all who knew and valued Igor Uchitel.
