International Conference on Autism in Odessa

On May 20, 2025, an international conference titled «Odessa Talks About Autism» began in Odessa, gathering leading specialists and experts from the UK, Germany, the USA, and Ukraine.

The event focused on pressing issues related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and ways to effectively socially adapt children with special educational needs.

Conference participants shared experiences, discussed modern approaches to rehabilitation, education, and support for children with autism, while forming new professional partnerships to create an inclusive society.

The Odessa City Council is already implementing a number of initiatives to support individuals with ASD and their families. However, the demand for such services is growing, so the city's task is to continuously improve the support system and expand the range of assistance.

During the event, honorary certificates and awards were presented on behalf of the Odessa Mayor to specialists working daily in the field of social adaptation and rehabilitation of children with autism.
