Accessibility Initiative in Odesa: New Routes for Everyone
As part of the initiative to enhance accessibility in Odesa, the project «Barrier-Free Routes» is underway, aimed at creating a comfortable urban environment for all.
The Barrier-Free Council has begun a comprehensive assessment of all tram routes in the city.
From April 23 to 25, an analysis is being conducted to determine the actual accessibility of public transport for everyone.
The expert group, together with specialists, has monitored routes: No. 11, 13, 17, 18, 5, 10, and 28. The next routes to be checked will be No. 21, 15, and 12.
During the survey, the condition of platforms, access to stops, and the accessibility of trams were evaluated.
All data collected during the monitoring will be organized and presented at the next meeting of the Barrier-Free Council.
The goal is not just to identify problems but to initiate concrete changes.
