Discovery of Dangerous Munitions in Citizens' Homes

Authorities in the Podilskyi district uncovered dangerous munitions. Two men, aged 32 and 49, are suspected of illegally storing grenades.

The Podilskyi district police received information about the possible storage of munitions in private residences. During conducted searches in the suspects' homes, items resembling grenades were found. Explosives experts confirmed that these are hand fragmentation grenades classified as combat munitions.

“Based on the collected evidence, we have initiated a criminal case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This concerns the illegal acquisition and storage of munitions. According to Ukrainian legislation, the suspects face up to seven years in prison. As part of the investigation, conducted by the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office, we are determining the origin of the discovered munitions,” stated Oleg Zhukovskyi, head of the Podilskyi district police.
