25 December 2024

The Odesa regional prosecutor's office has initiated proceedings against the founder and director of a construction company who used forged documents to illegally acquire a land plot (Part 2 of Article 28, Parts 3, 4 of Article 358, Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspects organized a scheme to illegally seize a one-hectare land plot belonging to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine through the Odesa State Environmental University.

To execute their criminal plan, they employed forged documents, submitted false information to registries, falsified technical documentation, and involved fictitious persons.

As a result of their actions, the suspects illegally took possession of the land on Muscatna Street in Odesa, intending to sell it for profit.

The damages incurred by the state are estimated to exceed 19 million hryvnias.

Currently, all damages have been fully compensated by revoking ownership rights to the mentioned land plot.

Decisions regarding preventive measures for the suspects are pending. Other participants in the illegal scheme are being identified.

The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the investigative group of the Odesa Regional Police, with operational support provided by the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Odesa.
