Sensory Rehabilitation Forum in Odesa
The educational-practical forum titled «Sensory Rehabilitation: Science, Movement, and Harmony» was held in Odesa, organized by the Ukrainian Research Institute of Rehabilitation and Resort Therapy.
The event received support from the city’s communal organization «Service Office «Veteran Hub».
The purpose of the forum was to support specialists assisting military personnel in coping with the aftermath of stress, trauma, and exhaustion by restoring the connection between the individual and their body.
The program included presentations on modern approaches to somatic-sensory, sound, and art therapy, as well as workshops on canistherapy, body practices, and restoring psychological well-being.
Participants included psychologists from the National Guard of Ukraine, physical rehabilitation specialists, and experts who provide daily support to military personnel and those affected by the war.
«All modern developments presented by specialists from various fields aim to restore emotional wellbeing, assist in overcoming stress-related disorders, adapt to civilian life, and enhance the effectiveness of primary treatment», said leading physical therapist Svitlana Trapeznikova.
The forum organizers noted that the event united science, practice, and humanity.
