Fire Incident in Ovidiopol Results in Casualty

A fire broke out in the village of Ovidiopol, located in the Odesa district, causing injuries to a local resident. According to the State Emergency Service, the incident occurred on October 26th in the afternoon. The roof of a residential building on Kotliarevskyi Street caught fire. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames over an area of 90 square meters. Unfortunately, during an attempt to extinguish the fire independently, a 59-year-old man sustained burns and was hospitalized.
"The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated. Two fire engines and ten firefighters were dispatched from the emergency service, while one fire engine and three personnel from the local fire brigade 'Karolino-Buhaz' also assisted," the agency stated.
