Severe Weather in Odesa: Impact and Recovery Efforts
As a result of prolonged rain and strong winds that lasted nearly a day in Odesa, around 70 trees and large branches have been uprooted. The information is being continuously updated. The city’s municipal services immediately began work to mitigate the effects.
Emergency situations are being handled by specialists from the municipal enterprises «Miskzelentrest», «City Roads» and «Housing and Communal Services» as per their respective areas. The teams are cutting down fallen trees and removing them, as well as cleaning the streets of debris.
First and foremost, the municipal workers clear roads, highways, and pedestrian paths of fallen trees and also remove those obstructing access to socially significant facilities.
Currently, work has been completed at 37 locations, and operations continue at 33 other sites.
