Celebrating Defender's Day: Honoring Bravery

Today, October 1st, Ukraine celebrates Defender's Day. We pay tribute to the indomitable spirit of those who fought for and defended the independence of our nation, as well as to those who currently protect Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov delivered his greetings for this special occasion:

«Dear defenders! On behalf of myself and the entire Odesa community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to you. You are the light that shines in our homes. You prevent fear from settling in our hearts. Thanks to you, we have a future. We do not just express our thanks; we actively support you: we work, volunteer, and pray. We do not simply wait — we are building a country to which you will return victorious. May every thank you we express be a shield for you. May every child's smile, every peaceful morning, and each new day prove that your struggle is not in vain. May God protect Ukraine!»
