Defender's Day in Ukraine was established in 2014 to honor the heroism and bravery of those defending our independence. This day is also connected to the feast of the Holy Virgin Mary, who was revered by Cossacks. Modern defenders continue to uphold these traditions.

War shapes the Ukrainian nation, and the heroism and selflessness of current defenders have earned the trust of the people. The Ukrainian army is now one of the most capable in the world and serves as a shield for Europe. It is our duty to support our defenders and bring victory closer.
