Explosion on Civilian Vessel Near Odesa

In the Black Sea, close to Odesa, a civilian vessel was involved in an explosion due to an unidentified explosive device.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, in a comment to the public broadcaster.

He mentioned that none of the crew members were harmed. Currently, the vessel is being inspected, and it is likely that it can continue its journey.

"We are taking all necessary measures to ensure a safe level of civilian navigation. However, such incidents can occasionally occur," Pletenchuk stated.
