Enhancing the Border in the Odesa Region

The border segment with Moldova in the Odesa region is being enhanced with bi-spectral cameras. Construction of a bypass road is also underway. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on their Facebook page.

«This construction will allow border units to move more quickly along the border, ensure rapid response to any changes in the situation, and improve service conditions. At the same time, bi-spectral cameras will enable effective online monitoring of the border situation, as they capture images in two spectral ranges: visible and infrared», – said the State Border Guard Service.

According to Brigadier General Yuriy Petriv, head of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service, the development of such infrastructure in this area is a vital strategic task aimed at strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
