Fire Breaks Out on Private Land in Odesa Region

A fire broke out on private land in the Odesa region. Trucks, buses, trash, and dry grass were engulfed in flames. A woman was injured during self-extinguishing efforts and was hospitalized. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

The incident happened yesterday, July 24, in the afternoon in the village of Sukhy Lyman. On Naberezhna Street, a fire ignited abandoned trucks, buses, construction debris, and dry grass on private property. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire and prevent its spread to a nearby residential building.

"As a result of the fire, 5 buses were destroyed, and 1 truck was damaged. The landowner, a woman born in 1945, sustained burns during her attempt to extinguish the fire and was hospitalized in critical condition. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being investigated. The emergency response included 3 units of equipment and 10 firefighters from the State Emergency Service, along with 1 unit of equipment and 3 personnel from the Citizens' Safety Center 'Avant-garde', - the report states.
