Starlink Network Restores Service After Outage
The Starlink satellite internet network has successfully resumed operations after a significant outage lasting approximately two and a half hours, which adversely affected the stability of communications, particularly in combat areas.
This was reported by the company's vice president, Michael Nichols, on platform X, along with the commander of the UAV forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brody, known by the call sign "Madyar".
Nichols stated: "The outage was caused by a failure of key internal software services that support the operation of the main network. We apologize for the temporary suspension of our service; we are committed to providing a highly reliable network and will fully resolve this issue to prevent it from happening again."
Details from Commander Brody indicated that communications were restored across all fronts between approximately 00:35 and 01:05.
During the outage, combat operations continued without broadcasts, and reconnaissance by combat was conducted using strike assets.
Brody remarked: "Combat operations were carried out without broadcasts; reconnaissance by combat was conducted with strike assets. This incident, lasting a long 150 minutes during wartime, highlights bottlenecks. We need to account for and diversify communication."
