President's Meeting with Law Enforcement: New Commitments
President Volodymyr Zelensky convened a meeting with heads of key law enforcement agencies, emphasizing the importance of constructive collaboration.
The head of state shared this information on social media.
Zelensky described the conversation as "frank and productive." He noted that the participants agreed to hold a "detailed working discussion on joint actions" next week. Furthermore, a comprehensive action plan is expected to be presented in two weeks, outlining how to improve the situation in Ukraine and address societal needs.
The President also shared a group photo with all meeting participants.
Direct quote: "I thank everyone who participated in our meeting: SBU, NABU, SAP, NACP, DBR, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Attorney General. Your willingness to work as a team for Ukraine is extremely important. We agreed that we would work exclusively constructively.
We hear the voice of society and understand what people expect from state institutions to ensure justice and efficiency. We discussed essential administrative and legislative initiatives that will strengthen the work of each institution, resolve existing conflicts, and mitigate threats. We will work together at the political level to support these efforts".
Why this matters: President Zelensky has yet to address the law signed on July 22 that limits the powers of anti-corruption institutions, as well as the protests that occurred against this decision in the government quarter, virtually "under the windows" of the President's Office.
