New Procurement Risk Management System in Ukraine

23 July 2025

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority has introduced a new system for assessing procurement risks, allowing for effective monitoring and control of procedures.

This information is provided on the official website of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

"The system enables automated analysis of tender procedures using risk indicators and control parameters. This allows for early detection of potential violations before contracts are signed," the statement reads.

"This internal procurement 'X-ray' represents another step towards reducing corruption risks and increasing transparency in the use of public funds," the USPA emphasizes.

"The procurement risk management system offers the chance to identify weaknesses before they escalate into issues," adds the maritime authority.

The system was launched in collaboration with the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), which is a leading anti-corruption program in Ukraine, funded by the European Union and implemented by Denmark's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The USPA also notes that all procurements are carried out through the electronic system Prozorro in accordance with current legislation, and the launch of the risk management system will provide an additional level of oversight and monitoring.
