Charity Football Match for Ukrainian Military Intelligence
CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH: event supporting Ukraine's military intelligence took place in Kyiv
On July 12, at the «Dynamo» stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi, stars of Ukrainian art, sports veterans, and military intelligence officers came together for the charity match «MAGURA UNITED» in support of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
The aim of the event was to raise funds for the purchase of advanced MAGURA family drones for the military.
Before the match, the National Anthem of Ukraine was played, followed by a moment of silence to honor those who lost their lives for Ukraine's independence.
General-Lieutenant Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the military intelligence, thanked the players for their support of the intelligence capabilities.
“Today, MAGURA is not just a maritime drone; it's an innovative Ukrainian weapon known worldwide due to successful combat operations. Recently, we officially recorded five achievements made possible by the use of these drones. Thank you to everyone who supports MAGURA and helps make our country stronger,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
The first symbolic kick-off was made by a special forces soldier from the “Group 13” unit, known by the call sign “Khan.” This unit employs cutting-edge maritime drones.
The match featured two teams: “Formula of Victory” and “Ukrainian Artists Team,” comprised of actors, athletes, TV hosts, musicians, volunteers, veterans, and military intelligence personnel. Coaches for the teams were Oleksandr Holovko and Oleksandr Khatskevych.
Participants included musicians Amil and Ramil Nasirov, Artem Damnytskyi, Ivan Liulenov, actors Mykhailo Dodaliev and Valerii Skovronskyi, TV host Andrii Dzedzhula, as well as humorists Petro Bamper and Sus.
“During the large fundraising campaign for new MAGURA drones, over 30 million UAH has already been raised. This funding will support the production of MAGURA V7 strike drones and W6P reconnaissance modifications. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraising and organization of the charity match. The campaign continues,” shared Diana Podolyanchuk, head of the charity fund.
