Honoring Veterans: Marathon in the Aegean Sea

On April 15, 2025, during a meeting of the Odessa City Council, Gennady Trukhanov presented awards to veterans for their participation in a long-distance marathon across the Aegean Sea.

The adaptive athletes' teams successfully traversed a symbolic route by boats, passing by Mount Olympus, and showcased their skills in the strength element of "tug of war."

For their active involvement in community affairs, promotion of adaptive sports among veterans, significant contributions to international sports cooperation, and enhancement of Odessa's positive image abroad, as well as for their courage and team spirit demonstrated during the international marathon in Greece.
