Humanitarian Aid for Medical Institutions in Odesa from American Donors

11 November 2024

With the support of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the KNP "Odesa Regional Clinical Hospital" received vital humanitarian assistance from American benefactor, former Senator John Kacheleman, through the charity organization "International Horizons Development Fund," led by Alireza Pahlavanzadeh.

As part of this initiative, the healthcare facility received medical supplies and rehabilitation equipment that will aid many patients. This assistance will enhance the conditions for patients and the effectiveness of rehabilitation in the hospital.

According to medical staff, the humanitarian aid will ease the lives of hospital patients, especially those undergoing rehabilitation or with limited mobility.

In total, the following items were donated to the institution:

  • wheelchairs to help people with disabilities move around;
  • standard crutches and elbow crutches for patient support during movement;
  • walkers that assist patients recovering from injuries to move safely;
  • medical clothing for doctors and nurses necessary for maintaining sterility and safety while providing medical services;
  • adult diapers that are especially crucial for patients with limited mobility;
  • gloves used to ensure hygiene during medical service provision.

These supplies are essential for treating and rehabilitating patients, creating comfort for medical staff, and ensuring a proper level of medical services.

Additionally, the humanitarian assistance from the "International Horizons Development Fund" will not only improve treatment conditions and enhance patient service quality but also allow the hospital to upgrade its material and technical base. Collaboration between medical institutions and charitable organizations is vital in a time when the healthcare sector faces numerous challenges, including a lack of resources and materials.

We express our sincere gratitude to the benefactors for their support. We look forward to further cooperation to support medical facilities in the Odesa region.
