Major Blood Donation Campaign in Odesa
Last week, with the support of the «Donor Odesa» project and the administration of the children's city clinical hospital № 3, a large blood donation campaign was held for the needs of injured defenders of Ukraine. Medical staff from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station facilitated the mobile donation events.
Over two days, employees from the children's hospital in the Kyiv and Peresyp districts of Odesa participated in blood donation. On the second day, staff from the Primary Health Care Center № 5 and the Consultative Diagnostic Center № 29 also took part. A total of about 50 donors contributed blood, saving numerous lives.
The daily need for donor blood has remained extremely high since the onset of the full-scale war. Blood is vital for saving both military and civilian patients.
Any interested groups can organize a mobile blood donation at their own premises by following these steps:
1. Gather a group of 25-50 individuals willing to donate blood. Ensure that potential donors have no absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions for blood donation.
2. Agree on a convenient date by calling 0668422387 or messaging on Telegram @donorodesa.
3. The day before donating blood, it is necessary to follow certain dietary restrictions and medication guidelines.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the «Donor Odesa» project has been helping to find blood donors for the city's medical facilities. Over 9000 donors have participated during this time.
