New Medical Services for Veterans in Odesa

The Odesa Primary Healthcare Center No. 3 has joined an initiative aimed at providing comprehensive medical assistance to war veterans, enhancing their physical and mental well-being.

This project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, significantly expands the range of free services available to veterans at the primary healthcare level.

Services are primarily focused on addressing the aftermath of combat, psychological support, comprehensive treatment, and social assistance.

Combat veterans who have been discharged from military service, as well as individuals disabled due to war, can access these services.

What services are available under this project?

1. Individual treatment plans, examinations, diagnostics, and preventive check-ups tailored to health status and existing conditions.

2. Screening for conditions related to combat experiences: PTSD, chronic pain, cardiovascular issues, and digestive disorders.

3. Enhanced psychological services and psychotherapy.

4. Referrals to specialists: psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists for group therapy and stress management techniques.

5. Treatment of chronic conditions and injuries, along with consultations from relevant specialists.

6. Diagnosis and treatment of vision and hearing impairments.

7. Development of individual rehabilitation plans for patients with post-traumatic conditions.

8. Prescription of medications for chronic pain and psychological disorders.

9. Support in combating addictions.

10. Social worker consultations regarding access to medical and social services and information about veterans' rights.

To access services, a declaration must be signed with a family doctor at the Center, and original documents must be provided:

1. Proof of veteran status.

2. Passport or other identification document.

3. Identification code or the series and number of the passport.
