Advanced Gastroscopy Services in Odesa

A new state-of-the-art fibrogastroscope has been introduced at Consultative-Diagnostic Center No. 6 in Odesa.

This device features chromoscopy modes that enable detailed examination of the mucosa and early detection of cancers, as well as diagnosis of gastritis, ulcers, and other gastric conditions, and performing foreign body removal procedures.

With a modern video processor and monitor, the physician receives a clear, high-quality image during examinations.

The processor includes photo and video recording functions, allowing for documentation of pathological changes in the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum to guide the patient's treatment plan.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) is offered free of charge in Odesa's medical institutions under the state medical guarantee program based on an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine.

Last year, over 24,500 procedures were conducted in the city's medical facilities. It is recommended to undergo gastroscopy routinely after the age of 50, even in the absence of complaints.

Odesa's medical institutions are equipped with modern diagnostic equipment for conducting esophagogastroduodenoscopy. The service is provided on an outpatient basis with a referral from a family doctor or attending physician.
