Google Launches New AI Model Gemini 3 Flash
On Wednesday, Google announced the release of its latest AI model, Gemini 3 Flash, an upgraded version of Gemini 3 Pro that boasts faster performance and lower operating costs.
Gemini 3 Flash excels in tasks such as last-minute travel planning and quickly grasping complex educational concepts.
The new model’s multimodal capabilities allow users to request Gemini to view videos, browse images, listen to audio, or read text, transforming these inputs into meaningful content.
"Our goal is to provide access to powerful AI tools to a larger audience," said Gemini product head Tulsi Doshi in a statement to Axios.
Gemini 3 Flash will serve as the default model within the Gemini app, replacing the previous 2.5 Flash for everyday tasks.
It will also be the standard model for the AI mode in search, making it accessible to Google users worldwide.
Prior to this, Google launched the Gemini 3 Pro model on November 18, while OpenAI introduced its latest AI model, GPT-5.2.
