Ceremony of Peace Flame Transfer in Odessa

On December 24, a vibrant event took place at the Odessa Zoo – the ceremony of transferring the Bethlehem Peace Flame, brought to our city by Raisa Kraieva, the leader of the Odessa Center for Children's and Youth Creativity "Samotsvit".

The Bethlehem Peace Flame is part of an international scouting initiative that occurs annually before Christmas. Its main goal is to spread the symbolic flame lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ to every corner of the world. The flame represents goodwill and support.

Also present at the ceremony were representatives of the Black Sea Flotilla of Young Sailors and volunteers.

During the meeting, festive greetings were exchanged along with many warm words and sincere wishes for peace.

This event was initiated by Elena Alexeyenko, an honorary worker of culture in Ukraine.
