The Importance of Information Security During War

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released an animated video on social media, urging the media, politicians, and military personnel to adhere to information security protocols and avoid disseminating information that could be exploited by the enemy.

Quote: "In wartime, nothing is insignificant – every detail matters. A single report made without approval can provide the enemy with coordinates. An unrestrained comment can become an intelligence target. Excess publication can lead to strikes and casualties."

The video narrates a story about a supposed report from a civilian enterprise that produces drones. The plot suggests that after this footage was aired on television, the enemy obtained data for an attack that resulted in the destruction of the facility and numerous casualties.

"Everyone handling sensitive information must act responsibly and follow information security rules. This video serves as a reminder for every journalist, military member, activist, or official: silence is also a weapon. The enemy is listening! Stay alert!", the General Staff emphasized.
