Drone Attacks: New Challenges for Ukraine
Over the past week, Russia has launched around 1000 drone attacks against Ukraine, alongside nearly 980 guided bombs and 36 various types of missiles. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Facebook page.
According to him, recovery efforts are ongoing in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions following the Russian strikes. Rescuers are also active in Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
«Last night alone, Russian forces launched more than 170 drones, with at least half being «Shahed» drones. Throughout the week, about 1000 strike drones, nearly 980 guided bombs, and 36 missiles were fired at our people», emphasized Zelensky.
He underscored that every night requires a multi-faceted approach to airspace protection – involving air defense systems, combat aviation, and mobile fire groups.
«We are actively working with partners to enhance our defense. We have established new strong agreements with Europe to significantly bolster our air defense, resilience, and diplomacy», he noted.
