Celebrating Ukrainian Wrestlers' Success at the World Championship

From October 20 to 27, 2025, the city of Novi Sad in Serbia hosted the U23 World Championship in Greco-Roman, women's, and freestyle wrestling.
Among the National Team of Ukraine, the athlete Ruslan Abdiyev from Odesa stood out, competing in the 82 kg weight category and earning a silver medal while showcasing exceptional technical skills and sportsmanship.
Ruslan represents the 9th Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. His coaches, Viktor Klintzov and Yuriy Prokofiev, prepared him for the competition.
As a result of the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, the Ukrainian team achieved an impressive second overall place among 44 countries, winning two gold and two silver medals.
