Cycling Competitions in Odesa: New Horizons
On August 31, Odesa hosted vibrant cycling competitions known as the Odesa Grand Prix, which have become an essential part of the city's cultural life.
This year, the Odesa Grand Prix attracted numerous cycling fans from the Republic of Moldova, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Nemyriv, and Zaporizhzhia.
On the second day of the event, the Odesa Championship in sprint cycling categories took place, characterized by intense competition.
The winners in their age categories were local cyclists: Oleg Ivankov (Atlet CG), Andriy Pyrkh, Yuriy Anderson, Yuriy Smirnov, Andriy Hladkyi, Andriy Shvets, Serhiy Lychko, Hryhoriy Bayrak, Mykola Vakhrameyev, Vladyslav Salnikov, Yuriy Smirnov (Project 13), and Hryhoriy Savenko.

The Odesa Grand Prix first launched in 1995 under a cup system. In 2007, it became a national event, and from 2015 to 2019, the cycling competitions were held internationally with a second category UCI designation.
