Ukrainian Open Shooting Championship: Young Athletes Shine

The Ukrainian Open Shooting Championship for athletes born in 2007 and younger concluded successfully in Vinnytsia. Over 200 young competitors from 13 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv vied for medals.

The Odesa team consisted of students from the city’s Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 3 and the regional shooting sports school.

In the 50-meter prone competition with a small-caliber rifle, the champion of Ukraine was Ilya Ananyev (Children and Youth Sports School No. 3), while Danilo Ananyev (Children and Youth Sports School No. 3) claimed third place. Together with Yegor Mozusenko, they also won the team championship in this event.

In the small-caliber rifle three-position shooting, the Odesa team, comprising Ilya Ananyev, Ilya Kotev (Children and Youth Sports School No. 3), and Yegor Mozusenko (regional shooting sports school), also became champions of Ukraine.

In the girls’ 50-meter prone competition, the Odesa team, including Ksenia Gerasimova (Children and Youth Sports School No. 3), Kateryna Nikonenko, and Vitalina Martyniuk (regional shooting sports school), won silver medals.

The athletes were coached by Olya Chikalova (Children and Youth Sports School No. 3) and Svitlana Skachko (regional shooting sports school).
