International Trampoline Tournament in the Czech Republic

From October 11 to 14, 2024, the city of Jablonec nad Nisou in the Czech Republic hosted the prestigious international trampoline tournament known as the «Friendship Cup». The event attracted 380 athletes from 12 countries around the globe.

The Ukrainian national team was represented by talented gymnasts from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 1 in Odessa, Sofia Alarova and Veronika Pyatakova.

Under the guidance of coaches Regina Brailova and Liliya Zakolodyazhna, our athletes secured three medals at the tournament.

In individual jumps, Sofia Alarova took second place, showcasing an impressive level of combinations and earning a career-high score of 53.410 points. She only fell short to Jessica Stevens from the USA, who won bronze at last year's World Championship (54.600).

In synchronized jumps, the duo of Alarova and Pyatakova initially placed 7th in qualification (43.750), but their outstanding performance in the finals earned them bronze medals (46.050).

Earlier this year, in March, the same athletes became bronze medalists at the World Cup in Alkmaar, Netherlands.

A total of 54 students train in trampoline at the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 1.
