Ukrainians in Canada had the opportunity to see the exhibition “Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues” before its official opening.

During the event, a meeting took place with national team players: Mykola Matviyenko, Heorhiy Sudakov, Roman Yaremchuk, and Ivan Kaliuzhny.

The exhibition “Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues” opens in Toronto, where visitors can see original football trophies, Valeriy Lobanovskyi's coaching notes, and learn how Ukrainian football is surviving during the war.

This unique project, featuring over 200 exhibits, is making its first appearance outside Ukraine to inform the global community about the development of Ukrainian football and its significant contribution to Ukraine’s struggle during the war.

The exhibition titled “Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues” will take place at Trident Centre in Toronto from June 5 to June 10 (from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM). Admission is free.

It is organized by the Ukrainian Football Association as part of the Canadian Shield tournament, in which the Ukrainian national team will participate.

Canadian Shield Tournament - essential information

The Canadian Shield tournament is a new international competition organized by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), SPORTFIVE, and MIB Sport Agency.

Four men's national teams will participate in the Canadian Shield tournament: Canada, Ukraine, Côte d'Ivoire, and New Zealand.

The Canadian Shield competitions are positioned as a preparation stage for teams ahead of the upcoming World Cup, part of which will be held in North America in 2026.
