New Educational Opportunities in Odesa
As part of the project «Creating Digital Educational Centers DLS and Providing Psychosocial Support for Children and Youth», new Digital Educational Centers DLS No. 27 and DLS No. 28 have been launched based on Odesa Lyceums No. 9 and No. 65.
These centers offer children access to various educational activities:
- taking tests to assess knowledge in subjects using artificial intelligence;
- filling gaps in learning through group sessions in subjects such as mathematics, history, languages, physics, biology, chemistry, etc.;
- children can play board games, the educational game «Minecraft», watch movies, and socialize with peers in an informal setting;
- specialists will conduct «Life Lessons» – training sessions on digital literacy, cybersecurity, psychological resilience, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, etc.;
- qualified psychologists will provide emotional support in individual and group sessions;
- during career orientation testing, children can learn about their intelligence type and receive recommendations for main and additional professions, as well as take online tours of leading Ukrainian companies;
- educational and developmental activities, workshops, festivals, and flash mobs.
The centers will also operate during school breaks, regularly offering sessions to catch up on core subjects.
The goal of the Digital Educational Centers (DLC) is to ensure continuous learning for children and teenagers, to address educational losses, to provide opportunities for participation in informal education activities, emotional support for children, teenagers, their parents, and teachers, and to enhance teachers' professional competencies. All activities are related to the implementation of modern digital technologies.
This project is being implemented by the Association of Innovative and Digital Education in collaboration with UNICEF, with the support of the Government of Japan.
