International Collaborations of Educational Institutions in Odesa
Educational institutions under the communal ownership of Odesa are actively engaged in international projects with schools from EU countries, including Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Latvia, and others.
From October 6 to 11, 13 students from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 participated in a youth camp «Krzyszow» in Poland. This visit was part of a Polish-German-Ukrainian school exchange involving youth from schools in Lezno (Poland), Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Odesa (Ukraine).
During their stay at the camp, participants engaged in activities focused on intercultural communication, history, and tolerance. Talented young people collaborated on joint project tasks, including integrative language introductions, language evenings-presentations, tours of the «Gross-Rosen» camp area and the Church of Peace, as well as art workshops.
Additionally, in early October, 15 students from Odesa Lyceum No. 90 visited a school in Bremen (Germany) as part of international cooperation.
For eight days, the children stayed with German families, participated in joint projects, creative activities, and excursions around Bremen, Hamburg (Germany), and Groningen (Netherlands).
During their trips abroad, young Odesans had the opportunity to communicate with peers from Poland and Germany, demonstrating a high level of foreign language proficiency and deepening their knowledge of the German and Polish languages, as well as the history, culture, and traditions of these countries.
