Project Schools 2024 Conference in Berlin: Expanding Horizons for Ukrainian Students
Throughout the week, Berlin (Germany) hosted the Project Schools 2024 conference organized by UNESCO.
The Odesa Lyceum “Maryinsky” was represented by both students and teachers at this event.
As part of a Ukrainian-German initiative aimed at supporting children and educators, the Odesa students visited educational institutions in Berlin, where they had the opportunity to exchange experiences with peers from other countries and learn about the German education system.
Additionally, conference participants explored the rich history and culture of Berlin by visiting landmarks such as the East Side Gallery — a famous segment of the Berlin Wall turned into an outdoor exhibition, the Brandenburg Gate — a symbol of unity and peace, Checkpoint Charlie — a site that recalls the divided Berlin and the Cold War, and the New Museum, housing artworks from various eras.
