Holiday Celebrations in Odesa for St. Nicholas Day
In the educational institutions of communal ownership in the city of Odesa, festive events for children and the charity initiative #WarmWave are traditionally held on the occasion of St. Nicholas Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As part of this initiative, representatives of the friendly educational family of the city prepare treats, fill first-aid kits with medical supplies, gather necessary items and food products, donate money, and weave camouflage nets for our defenders.
Children create protective charms and gifts, write letters of support, and draw pictures to present to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defend our borders and maintain our peace every day.
Educational institutions in the city conduct educational activities dedicated to the heroic history of the Ukrainian people and the struggle of its defenders for the establishment of statehood in Ukraine, as well as exhibitions of children's drawings and creative works titled “We are Proud of the Defenders of Ukraine”.
The residence of St. Nicholas has also opened, where every visitor can immerse themselves in a winter fairy tale and write a letter to the children's magician.
Representatives of the student parliament of Odesa, along with children of fallen heroes, decorated patriotic Christmas trees on the Alley of Heroes with handmade ornaments.
With hope for victory and faith in a peaceful future, educators in Odesa are making significant efforts aimed at national-patriotic education, promoting the military valor of Ukrainians, and honoring the courage and heroism of the Defenders of Ukraine.
