Free Google AI Pro Access for Ukrainian Students
As of October 8, students in Ukraine will have free one-year access to Gemini and AI Pro subscriptions from Google.
This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, via Telegram.
«Students need modern tools to learn more effectively and develop their skills. Starting today, Google offers free annual subscriptions to the Google AI Pro toolset for students over 18 years old,» the announcement stated.
Ukrainian students will now have access to the following services:
- Gemini 2.5 Pro – a chat service for assistance with learning and complex topics, allowing photo uploads to receive real-time explanations;
- Deep Research – a tool that independently analyzes hundreds of sources and creates structured reports, saving hours on preparation for coursework or essays;
- NotebookLM – a personal assistant for organizing knowledge and notes, now with enhanced audio and video analysis capabilities;
- Veo 3 – converts text or images into an 8-second video with sound;
- Jules – an AI assistant for programming, helping to write, test, and improve code;
- 2 TB of cloud storage – ample space for all notes, documents, and projects.
To participate in the program, students must register on the Google website.
Additionally, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has announced a new phase of collaboration with Google regarding the use of AI technologies to develop state AI products in Ukraine.
