Strengthening Ukraine's Defense Capabilities
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that during a conversation with the President of the United States, they discussed strengthening defense measures, particularly air defense systems, and opportunities for joint production in the security field, along with diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving a "worthy" peace agreement.

Direct quote from Zelensky: "Today we talked about the current situation: Russian air strikes and the broader front situation. President Trump is well-informed, and I thank him for his attention to Ukraine. We discussed air defense opportunities and agreed to work on enhancing airspace protection. We set up a meeting for our teams to collaborate."
Details: According to Zelensky, the parties also thoroughly discussed the capabilities of the defense industry and opportunities for joint production.
"We are ready for direct projects with America and believe this is crucial for security, especially regarding drones and related technologies," the president stated.
Another topic was mutual procurement and investments. "We exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and our collaborative efforts with America and other partners," Zelensky noted.
The President expressed gratitude for the support from the USA and emphasized the need for a "worthy agreement for peace, and Ukraine supports American proposals.
