Zelensky's Meeting with American Business Leaders: Support and Stability

03 July 2025

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a crucial meeting with representatives of American companies who are members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, discussing key issues of support from the US.

On July 2, the Office of the President reported that attendees included representatives from Horizon Capital, Cisco Systems, Unilever, Carlsberg, Avrora Multimarket, Microsoft, KPMG, and others.

Participants also included representatives from Pfizer, Google, Baker Hughes, Visa, and many more. President Andriy Gunder was also present at the event.

Zelensky emphasized that the presence of American businesses in Ukraine is a sign of stability and the significance of US support, highlighting the value of bipartisan assistance.

He noted that any slowdown or reduction in support from the US is unacceptable, as air defense systems protect all citizens of Ukraine.

Gunder highlighted that 88 chamber members have relatives serving in the armed forces, and 53% of companies have suffered damage due to Russian attacks.

He also called on the US government to provide protection for businesses in Ukraine and continue supplying Patriot systems.

Participants of the meeting stressed the importance of maintaining support and strengthening Ukraine's air defense.

It is worth noting that on July 1-2, reports emerged about the Pentagon suspending some military assistance shipments to Ukraine due to concerns over dwindling weapon supplies.

Zelensky also stated that Ukraine is actively discussing with the US the details regarding military assistance following reports of shipment suspensions.
