Remembering General-Lieutenant Mykola Leifura
At the age of 90, General-Lieutenant (ret.) Mykola Petrovich Leifura passed away, leaving a significant mark in the history of the Ukrainian military. His life was entirely devoted to service and the support of war veterans in Odessa.
Mykola Petrovich chose the honorable path of a soldier at a young age, rising from a tank platoon commander to the deputy commander of the Odessa military district. His career was adorned with numerous awards, including orders for service to the homeland.
In his later years, he was actively involved in veteran organizations, leading the city Council of War Veterans and serving as the deputy head of the regional veterans' organization.
The passing of Mykola Leifura marks the end of an era, yet his work in supporting veterans continues to inspire the present generation.
