Celebrating Oleksii Agopyan: A Milestone and His Art

Celebrating Oleksii Agopyan» took place at the «House of the Clown» theater in Odesa, gathering his close friends and admirers of Odesa humor.
At 65, Oleksii Agopyan boasts a rich career with numerous roles in theater, film, and television shows. He is best known for his portrayal of pilot Drinkins in the legendary show «Calambur». His career spans over 45 years, starting from a student theater group at the Odesa Polytechnic Institute to his role as executive director of the LLC «Comic Troupe “MASKS”». Today, he not only performs but also generously shares his experience with the younger generation of comedians. At the «Celebration», his students honored their mentor by skillfully reenacting a scene from a new play.
The event was rich in jokes, gifts, performances, and greetings from around the globe. One of the creative dreams of the celebrant came true right on stage.

In recognition of his significant artistic achievements, high professional skill, and substantial personal contribution to the development of theatrical art, as well as on the occasion of his 65th anniversary celebrated on October 9, Oleksii Agopyan was awarded the Honorary Award of the Mayor of Odesa «Gratitude». The award was presented by Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing, along with the Mayor's advisor Olena Pavlova.
