Moment of Silence in Odesa: A Tribute to the Fallen

On the morning of May 10th, a tribute event named "Moment of Silence" was held in the heart of Odesa. At exactly 9:00 AM, law enforcement temporarily closed part of Soborna Square, calling on drivers and pedestrians to stop and honor the memory of the deceased. Participants stepped onto the roadway with posters to highlight the importance of collective remembrance.

This was reported to journalists by the organizers of the "Moment of Silence" event.

Moment of Silence in Odesa

Residents of Odesa gathered to remind everyone — we do not forget. Those who happened to be nearby joined in. For many, this has become a daily routine.

The organizers note that each morning they see more participants. People are stopping at bus stops, cafes, and markets. Even drivers are halting their cars in the middle of the streets.

It should be added that tributes are held daily in all cities of Ukraine, according to presidential decree №143/2022
"On the National Moment of Silence for those who died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine".
